Studio Guest:

Scott McClure (owner) and Stephen Hutchinson (beer education) of Seven Jars Products. Seven Jars Products is your #1 source for information and products for making wine at home – and for good reason! The family-operated business is steeped in the traditions of making wine, with a background and colorful history that began with the legendary Frank Ratcliffe. Born and raised in Mecklenburg County, Mr. Ratcliffe was well known for providing fun and enjoyment to Charlotte residents! He was experienced in home winemaking, and although he passed away in 1977, his legacy survives in Seven Jars Products; in fact, the name comes from the way he passed on his knowledge of winemaking… and even distilling… to the family members that run Seven Jars today. Learn the art and craft of making wine, purchase everything you need to do it, and enjoy an entertaining perspective on some of Charlotte’s REAL history in the process!

Big fan of Seven Jars! My wife and I made a batch of wine there and recently brought home our first homebrew kit. Even if you are not ready to start brewing at home, the classes are a lot of fun, and make a great date! If you are into home brewing, they have everything you might need and are very knowledgeable.
